I ran out of small circles to draw patterns in when I was on vacation. Perhaps I had enough of patterns too. But I was not done drawing – which was the entire point of the patterns! I still wanted to work with no stress and no huge commitments, but I also needed a little push to keep going. So I looked up Sketchdaily on Reddit that I worked with years back. They had an art exchange with deadline for signup in about a week and the requirements was that participants needed a streak of at least 15 (aka 15 days of drawing). I always wanted to try out being part of an art exchange so here was the push I needed! And so the drawing continued. One drawing a day was my goal, but at the beginning I did have to catch up a bit more to reach the requirements before deadline, so I drew and painted the daily prompt plus a day’s prompt that had already passed. I find I absolutely love the format of a daily watercolor and the community at Sketchdaily is super supportive too. My only problem now is to catch up the blog here because the pile of drawings to show off here is growing rapidly. So here are my renditions of the last 27 days of Sketchdaily prompts, with the newest from today first 🙂
Whew! And with that we are all caught up with my drawings, paintings and sketches 🙂
